Bardavcol is committed to minimising the risk to occupational, health and safety to all personnel, subcontractors and visitors to our work sites. Our Company WHS policy outlines our primary goals and provides the framework for their achievement.

Bardavcol Pty. Ltd. was incorporated in the state of South Australia in December 1975. In its early years the company worked mainly as an earthmoving contractor primarily for builders; preparing building platforms, excavating footings and generally undertaking site works. Bardavcol's first project was an extension to an Administration Building for Woolworth's Salisbury East depot. This led to a range of civil works projects for builders and developers, including the refurbishment of Moseley Square at Glenelg.  Bardavcol commenced undertaking major subdivisions initially for developers and later for themselves.

As the company matured, it moved into other areas of civil engineering and began taking on larger projects as the Head Contractor. By the mid 1980s, the company had branched into project management of property and land development and was earning an enviable reputation as a timely and cost effective deliverer of quality products.

In the early 1990's, Bardavcol undertook several large projects interstate, however decided to concentrate on the growing road construction market in South Australia.  Bardavcol found its niche through a very successful partnership with Transport SA with the construction of Montague Road sections of the South Road Connector, Main North Road, Glen Osmond Intersection and Mount Osmond Interchange. This relationship has lead to Bardavcol constructing more road projects in this State than any other Contractor.

Recognising the need to diversify into other industries, Bardavcol commenced another successful partnership with the grain industry. Initially involving the construction of grain bunkers to meet the needs of the State's increasing harvest, it evolved to complete Design and Construct projects including bunkers, storage sheds and bins and grain handling equipment. Bardavcol has always had a significant presence in the installation of utilities infrastructure.  The most significant being the Hope Valley Reservoir which required major reconstruction of the dam wall and downstream works, while keeping the facility operational.
